Come and join us at our Next CHOSEN meeting on September 22nd at 6:30 p.m. in A206 room at Prestonwood Baptist Church!
From the “Other Side” Come and here Angie’s story of God’s grace and redemption as she discusses her journey of CPS removing her children from her care. Along side Angie, will be Tracey and Greg Fields who were the foster parents for Angie’s children. This Chosen event features a story that celebrates the redemption that can take place when we approach the adoption or foster care journey with grace and hope for all involved. The adoption and foster care journey is intensely personal and life-changing. This is true not only for adoptive and foster parents, but also for those on the “other side.” Tracey and Greg Fields (adoptive parents and presenters at past adoption/foster care conferences) will share their special story about Angie, and how their opportunity to provide foster care for Angie’s children allowed them to ultimately become Angie’s “family,” see Angie come to faith in Christ and ultimately see her life turn around in ways they could have never imagined. Through their foster care experience they saw God bring about healing and redemption in many lives.
Greg and his
wife Tracey lead Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greenville,
Texas.
They have 4 daughters, 2 by birth and 2 by adoption. Angie is now
married
and living in Greenville, Texas with her two children and she is
expecting another child. It will be an amazing evening! We hope everyone has had a great and safe summer! We look forward to another year in the Chosen Ministry and reconnecting with all of you. God is doing some powerful things through this ministry and through each of you that have been called to serve the needs of orphans! As always, childcare will be provided in the church nursery. No need to pre-register.
Malissa Henrie "If You Were Mine" Workshop “IF YOU WERE MINE” Unfortunately, we will be unable to host the “If You Were Mine” series due to the number of participants that are unable to meeting on Wednesdays. We will be proposing new dates for the series late summer or early fall. If you are still interested in going through the DVD series, please contact us! Our hope is that this crisis will open the eyes of many regarding how they can support the orphan.
